Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent blurring during the development of color by providing a layer containing a leuco dye and an acid material which develops color in a different hue from the reaction between a diazo compound and a coupler between a diazo compound layer and a coupler layer. CONSTITUTION:Two kinds of layers are laminated different in the color developing reaction mechanism, one between a leuco dye and an acid material and the other between a diazo compound and a coupler. The diazo compound employs a non-water soluble salt such as salt containing fluoric acid salt. The coupler herein applied shall act as such for a diaxo compound such as phenol and resolcinol. In the recording material thus obtained, the leuco dye and the acid material contained in the intermediate layer melt to develop color by a low temperature heating and further at a high temperature, the diazo compound and the coupler react to develop color.
