Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the stability of a color developed picture against a plasticizer, by employing polyvinylpyrrolidone and zinc oxide as part or the whole of a water-soluble binder and a pigment to be applied for a recording layer of a thermosensitive recording paper. CONSTITUTION:In a thermosensitive recording paper comprising a colorless or light-color developing substance (e.g., leuco dye), an acid substance for thermally developing color thereof (e.g., alpha-naphthol), a water-soluble binder and a pigment, 5-100wt% of the water-soluble binder employs polyvinylpyrrolidone and 5- 100wt% of the pigment zinc oxide to obtain an intended thermosensitive recording paper. This keeps a color developed picture from vanishing or discoloring even in any protrected contact with various plasticizers. Casein and gelatin may be used as the water-soluble binder basides polyvinylpyrrolidone and calcium carbonate, kaolin and the like as the pigment besides zinc oxide.
