Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain heat-sensitive recording ink in which color developing reaction can be had at low temperature and color developing temperature can be adjusted as desired, by adding a eutectic of more than one low-temperature melting point materials to the ink. CONSTITUTION:More than two low-temperature melting materials (for instance, benzoic acid and acetanilide, or others) are mixed, melted with heating and cooled to recrystallize as a eutectic. This eutectic is crushed and mixed in heat sensing recording ink that contains as main components a leuco compound and an organic acid that develops color by reacting with the leuco compound for the purpose of obtaining desired ink. USE:The ink is applied on paper or materials such as synthetic resin, etc. in sheet form to form a covering film on them, and those sheets become heat-sensitive recorders. Those recorders are used for various printers, recorders, facsimilie and peripheral units of computers.
