Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled fibers, having a high coloring property and fastness, and useful as an artificial fur, etc., by spinning plural sheath-core type composite fibers prepared by extruding a core component containing carbon black into a sea component containing sulfonic acid groups to enclose in a sea component, and separating the sea component.
CONSTITUTION: In sprinning island-in-sea composite fibers having the core structure in the core component by a threecomponent spinning machine, a sheath component (B) in the island component is a polymer having groups of the formula -SO3M (M is metallic element), e.g. polyethylene terephthalate copolymer with soldium sulfo isophthalate, and the core component (A) is a polymer, having no sulfonic acid grooup or with a lower content of the sulfonic acid groups than the component (B), and containing carbon black. The components are spun to give a structure in which plural island components are enclosed in the sea component (C) or linked to one another with an interposing component. The sea component (C) or the interposing component is then separated to afford the aimed fibrous structure.
