Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the output power of a generator in a generating method for electricity using the top pressure of a blast furnace by cooling a gas from the outlet side of a turbine to drop the outlet side pressure of the turbine.
CONSTITUTION: A pressurized top gas generated in a blast furnace 10 is fed to a turbine 14 through an inlet side gas pipe 12 to drive a generator 16, and electricity is generated. The used gas is fed to an apparatus 20 using the gas through an outlet side gas pipe 18. The used gas is cooled with a cooler 22 in the pipe 18 to drop the temp. and pressure. Accordingly, the output power of the turbine 14 is increased. By the cooling mist in the gas is condensed and drained from a draining hole 28 as drainage, and the clogging of the pipe 18 due to drainage is prevented.
