Abstract
PURPOSE:To recover the sensible heat and latent heat of an ingot efficiently by conducting the liquid refrigerant used for cooling the ingot to a heat exchanger, and gasifying the low b.p. gas in this heat exchanger thereby revolving a turbine. CONSTITUTION:A liquid refrigerant is supplied to ingot cooling members 2 to cool an ingot S. This discharged refrigerant is again supplied to the cooling members through a heat exchanger 3. This exchanger 3 is used as an evaporating part, and a low b.p. gas turbine 5, a liquefier 6, and a force feed pump 7 are communicated and connected successively thereto between the outlet side thereof to the inlet side. A low b.p. gaseous ''Fron '' which is liquefied is introduced into the heat exchanger 3 by which it is liquefied and this is supplied and discharged to and from the turbine 5, then the liquefied gas is cyclically supplied from the pump 7 again to the exchanger 3 through a liquefying device 6. The gas turbine is run continuously at a high speed by this, whereby electric power is generated and the recovering energy of the ingot 3 is converted and recovered efficiently.
