Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve fuel cost in such a way that a thyristor rotary machine is connected to a diesel engine, the diesel engine is energized by the thyristor rotary machine, or the thyristor rotary machine is driven by the diesel engine. CONSTITUTION:A thyristor rotary machine 37 is connected to a diesel main engine 21, a thyristor controller 38 is connected to the rotary machine 37, which are connected together through a breaker 39 to a bus 31. Then, the controller 38 is given as input steam separator drum pressure P, steam temperature T in the overheat steam pipe, generating power ET in the turbo-generator, generating power in the thyristor rotary machine or driving power ER, system frequency F and the number of revolution R in the propeller shaft. Besides, in case where the turbo-generator 29 runs short of its generating power ET, conversion of the rotary machine 37 is to the power generation, and in case of excess, it is converted to the motor drive, and in case of putting it to the motor drive, the diesel main engine 21 is to be boosted.
