Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a core throttle form easily in mass production, by forming a magnetic film head core with a uniform thickness having prescribed track width and gap length on a nonmagnetic substrate and adhering a fleshing magnetic film onto this head core and working this fleshing magnetic film. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic film 11 which is to be a core half body is formed on a plane nonmagnetic substrate 10 by adhesion due to sputtering or the like, and a siding face 12 of the half body is to be a gap face and is cut by a highly hard cutting tool or the like. A nonmagnetic film 13 consisting of SiO2 or the like is adhered as a gap spacer to the gap face by sputtering or the like. Next, a magnetic film 11' which is to be the second half body is buried in a recess groove part 14 by mask vapor-deposition or the like to form a head core substrate 15 without throttles. A magnetic film 16 for a throttle core is adhered to the substrate 15, and a semicircular throttle hole 17 near the part which becomes a working gap, and a nonmagnetic material 18 is covered on the hole 17. Thus, the throttle form is obtained easily in mass production while keeping a high- precision gap.
