Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately form a magnetic gap by forming both or one of two circuits by superimposing a soft magnetic thin film which becomes a gap member and a center core with a prescribed film thickness, on the gap forming surface of a core half body to provide a winding hole which becomes a side core. CONSTITUTION:To a 'Sendust(R)' bulk material 1 of a prescribed dimension, a track molding groove 7n to specify a track width is worked, and after a glass 6n is charged to the groove 7n, a surface is ground. Further, after a winding groove 8 is worked, the winding hole remains at the groove 8, a gap forming surface side is covered, and like that, a nonmagnetic material 4 such as a glass is charged, and thereafter, a gap forming surface 9 is ground. Next, a gap member 3 such as SiO2 is sputtered on the surface 9, a soft magnetic thin film 2 such as Fe-Al-Si is sputtered on it. Thus, an obtained magnetic head block 10 and a block 10' having a different track width by the same manufacture are bonded by the adhesives such as the glass, a magnetic head block 11 is obtained, cut at a broken line position and a composite magnetic head block is obtained.
