Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily obtain a magnetic head with a satisfactory magnetic characteristic and a high reliability by overlapping-forming the gap member of a prescribed film thickness and a soft magnetic thin film made into a center core on the gap preparing surface of a core half body. CONSTITUTION:To both or either of two independent magnetic circuits, on the gap preparing surface of core half bodies 1 and 1' to which coil holes 5 and 5' made into side cores are provided, the magnetic circuit is composed by overlapping-forming gap members 3 and 3' of the prescribed film thickness and soft magnetic thin films 2 and 2' made into the center cores. In such a way, since a method to overlapping-form the thin films 2 and 2' is adopted, a yield is good, a manufacture can be cheaply executed, simultaneously, the center core can be constructionally made very thin, and even a composite magnetic head whose distance between gaps is small can be easily realized.
