Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove bubbles tending to remain between a substrate and a polarizing membrane and to prevent the regeneration of the bubbles even if titled element is left as it is at a high temp. thereafter by heating and press- fixing the substrate in an autoclave after laminating the membrane on the substrate. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 2A and 2B having an electrode 1A, 1B are disposed to oppose each other and a circumference is sealed with a sealing material 3A and 3B to make a cell. Then polarizing membranes 5A, 5B having a pressure sensitive adhesive are press-fixed to it lightly and are stuck by a roller or the like. Further, large bubbles are press-fixed by a roller etc. to eliminate them and to stick the membrances to the substrates at least in the circumference part. Then this cell is transferred into an autoclave to perform a heating-pressing operation. The appearance is improved by means of the elimination of the air layer even if the membrance is stuck on the substrate forming unevenness over the surface like a printing layer without generation of crack and surface-flaw.
