Abstract
PURPOSE: To uniformalize the quality in the lateral direction of the pallet of a sintering machine and to reduce energy such as coke ratio by exactly grasping the combustion state in the lateral direction of the pallet from the distribution of a red-hot zone obtd. by analyzing the recorded image of a section of a sintered layer.
CONSTITUTION: When surface cracks of moving sintered ore are detected with a sensor 1, a timer 11 works and measures the time required to produce a dropping sound. The sound is detected with a device 7 through a microphone 6 and inputted in a comparator 10 through an amplifier 8 and a frequency filter 9. In the comparator 10 the time measured with the timer 11 is compared to the set time, and only when they do not coincide with each other, an image processing device 4 is instructed to record a section of a sintered layer on a pallet immediately after dropping photographed with a television camera 2 as a stationary image. A computer 5 analyzes the image stores the area, average height, position, etc. of a red-hot part 18, and processes them statistically A heat pattern controller 12 adds information such as the temp. and velocity distributions of waste gas and the kind, properites, grain size and water content of starting material to said information, and it controls the height of the starting material, a firing furnace and a heat holding furnace so that the distribution of a red-hot zone is made uniform in accordance with unvenness in combustion.
