Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the irregularity of sintering of the sintered ores and to improve the productivity, by determining the degree of segregation of the carbon content from the degree of segregation of the moisture in the raw material for sintering and by controlling the distribution of charge of the raw material so that the degree of segregation of the carbon content may become the aimed value.
CONSTITUTION: The moisture at the surface layer part of the raw material is detected with the detecting end 11a1 at the intermediate part of the charging conveyor 3 of the sintering apparatus and the moisture at the surface layer part of the raw material at which the C segregation has occurred on the pallet 7 is detected with the detecting end 11a2 at the intermediate part between the drum feeder 6 and the firing furnace 10. By inputting these detected values to the computer and controller 12, the degree of segregation of the C content is calculated. By performing the charging of the raw material 2 to the pallet 7 by controlling the spraying nozzle 9 and the sloping chute 8 equipped under the drum feeder 6 or by spraying the regulated pressure gas, etc. so that this value of the degree of segregation of the C content may become 1.05W2.0, the distribution of carbon in the layer of raw material in the direction of height and in the horizontal direction, is controlled. With this method, the control of charging of the raw material during the operation can be carried out quickly and precisely.
