Abstract

PURPOSE: To satisfactorily promote the segregatin without breaking the granulated raw material to be charged, by bending the chute to be installed between the roll feeder and the sintering machine so as to make the sectional shape of the chute to be a circular arc along the feeder, and by setting the angle between the dropping raw materil and the chute at an angle smaller than the specified value.
CONSTITUTION: The angle θ made by the granulated raw material 5 to be charged, dropping from the roll feeder 2, is set under 50 degrees against the chute 3. Accordingly, the shock given to the raw material 5 dropping and colliding with the chute 3 is small, and besides, the chute 3 is slightly bent into a circular arc along the feeder 2; hereby, the rolling distance of the raw material 5 becomes long, and the raw material 5 arrived at the lower part of the chute 3 has a large horizontal speed. Moreover, because the segregation can be promoted, the coke is more distributed at the upper part of the sintering bed, and the preheating by the coke combusted at the upper part of the sintering bed can be utilized; as a result, the unit consumption of the coke is reduced. Further, the sticking of the raw material 5 on the chute 3 is reduced.
