Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the long-term maintenance characteristic and the leak- proof performance, by employing a positive pole where a positive pole agent composed of highly stable silver oxide (II) and an organic binder is molded together with a metallic current collector. CONSTITUTION:A silver oxide (II) containing Cd and Te, or Cd, Te and more than one of Pb, Hg, Tl, Ge, Y, Sn, W, La, rare earth elements, Zn, Se, Al is quite stable in the alkaly electrolyte. A positive polarity agent composed of said highly stable silver oxide (II) and an organic binder is pressure powder molded. Then the positive polarity agent mold is molded again together with a metallic current collector to obtain a positive pole. A silver oxide (II) cell assembled while employing said positive pole has the excellent long-term maintenance characteristic and the leak-proof performance.
