Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the performance and the workability of a solid battery, which has a negative active material consisting of a metal chosen from among the groupIand the group II active metals, by preparing a diaphragm from a solid material consisting of a given electrolyte, a high molecular organic compound and an organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:In constituting a solid battery which contains a metal chosen from among the groupIand the group II metals used as a negative active material, a diaphragm is prepared from an ion conducting solid material consisting of an electrolyte containing ions of the above metal, a high molecular organic compound, and an organic solvent which dissolves the above electrolyte and the above high molecular organic compound. As a result, the diaphragm can be given a high ionic conductivity and an excellent mechanical workability.
