EXAMPLE: 1-(2-Chloroethyl)-1-nitroso-3-methyl-3-(1-deoxy-D-glycitolyl)urea.
USE: Antitumor agent. It has excellent antileukemic and antitumor activities, and is useful as a medicine having high safety.
PROCESS: The compound of formulaIis prepared by reacting the urea derivative of formula II with nitrous acid pref. in the presence of formic acid, acetic acid, etc. at 0W5°C.
