Abstract

PURPOSE:To transmit data by a simple system by applying series data transmission to signal transmission between a master station and terminal equipments in a control system which uses a programmable logic controller, etc. CONSTITUTION:A master station 1 and terminal equipments 2A and 2B are provided, and the equipments 2A and 2B are connected in series on a single transmission line l whose one terminal is connected to the master station 1. In the terminal equipment 2B which receives data transmitted from the master station 1 in output mode M2, the parallel output of a shift register 6 is latched by a part 8 in response to the output of a synchronizing signal detecting circuit 4b and in the terminal equipment 2A which transmits data to the master station in output mode M4, data to be transmitted is read in a register 6 in parallel in response to the output of a circuit 4b. At the master station 1, on the other hand, a data signl superposed upon a clock CP and arriving from the terminal equipment sides is discriminated and extracted in output mode M4.
