Abstract

PURPOSE:To make data transmission and receiving operations high-speed, by stopping the output of receiving data to a terminal equipment of the half duplex contention system when a transmission control signal is detected in case that this terminal equipment is connected to a full duplex line. CONSTITUTION:Terminal equipments 21 and 24 which transmit parallel data asynchronously in the half duplex contention system are connected to full duplex lines through transmission devices 22 and 23 to transmit data. In this system, detecting means such as change point detecting circuits 35 and 40 for a transmission control signal are provided in transmission devices 21 and 24, and the output of receiving data to data lines 26 and 31 to terminal equipments 21 and 24 is stopped by detection of the transmission control signal to prevent transmission data and receiving data from mixing on data lines 26 and 31. Thus, the waiting time based on a transmission delay time for mutual data transmission and receiving between terminal equipments 21 and 24 is shortened.
