Abstract
PURPOSE:To lighten the positioning accuracy of a device, and also to elevate the inspection capacity, by detecting a light beam from an optical image bearing a knife mark generated by being irradiated by a band-like light beam through a cylindrical lens and a slit, through 3 prescribed slits. CONSTITUTION:A light beam emitted from a light source 1 is made a band-like light beam by a cylindrical lens 2, and diagonally irradiates a knife mark 8 on a veneer 9 carried on the belt conveyor. The knife mark 8 is made to form an image as a dark line on a screen 5 through a slit 3 and a cylindrical lens 4. Its optical image is detected by a photomultiplier 7 through 3 slits which are in parallel with the knife mark 8 and make an angle of + or -2 deg. against it. In this way, not only the positioning accuracy of a device is lightened but also its inspection capacity is elevated.
