Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow a volume of gas to be changed according to the change of pressure in a pump chamber thereby obtaining a discharge amount according to the pressure on the discharge side, by confining a gas and a liquid in a certain proportion in a chamber in communication with the pump chamber via an elastic film. CONSTITUTION:The air 7a and the water 7b are confined in a certain proportion in a confining chamber 6 that is in communication with the pump chamber 1 through a porous plate 9. The pressuring action produced to an introduced liquid in the pump chamber 1 by displacement of a drive forcing diaphragm 2 acts also to pressurize through the porous plate 9 and the barrier film 8 the air 7a and the water 7b in the confining chamber 6. Assuming that the amounts of the air 7a, and the water 7b in the confining chamber 6 are constant, the delay of the time to open a discharge valve 5 is dependent on the pressure on the discharge side acting on the discharge valve, so that for the change of the pressure on the discharge side a discharge amount can be obtained inversely proportionally to the pressure.
