Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate a sealing process as well as improve the reliability by increasing a filling rate of a sealing agent utilizing a fact that the interrelationship between a cap and a heat resistant metal pipe changes in response to melting of a solid sealing agent during sealing. CONSTITUTION:A melted sealing agent 8, 9 is filled between a cap, an alumina ceramic pipe 1, and a heat resistant metal pipe 14 of a cap assembly which has been fabricated. In this case, the cap 2 moves downward in relation to the electrode 14 by the difference between the inside end of the cap 2 and the end of the electrode lead pipe 14, therefore a melted sealing agent 9 is filled into a gap between the cap 2 and the electrode lead pipe 14 in response to movement of the cap 2, resulting in sealing wit a high filling rate.
