PURPOSE:To enhance the thermal impact and corrosion resistances of a heat resistant alloy by coating the alloy surface with Pt and performing the diffusion cementation of Al by a packing method. CONSTITUTION:The surfaces of parts made of heat resistant Ni or Co alloy are coated with Pt by an electroplating method. A powdered mixture of Al and 0.01- 5wt% B or Al-B alloy powder is mixed with NH4F, NaF or other fluoride as a halogenating agent and alumina as an inert carrier, and the Pt coated parts are embedded in the mixture and heated to 1,100 deg.C in a nonoxidizing atmosphere such as gaseous Ar to carry out packing treatment. Thus, Pt+Al composite coated layers with high thermal impact resistance and high resistance to corrosion due to combustion gas are formed.
