Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent sticking of plating metal on roller surfaces and to perform stable plating work by forming the outside circumferential surfaces of guide rollers for a belt-like sheet to corrosion resistant and conductive specular surfaces and supplying washing liquid to the contact parts of the rollers and the sheet.
CONSTITUTION: A belt-like sheet 1 affixed with conductive foils on both surfaces and applied with piercing is sandwiched with a pair of guide rollers 7 and is passed through the inside of a plating cell 2, whereby it is plated. Hard chrome plating is applied on the outside circumferential surfaces of a pair of the guide rollers 7 which guide the transfer of the sheet 1 and feed electricity thereto, whereby corrosion resistance and conductivity are given thereto, and the surfaces are finished to specular surfaces. Washing liquid 9 such as water or dilute sulfuric acid is blown through nozzles 8 to the contact parts of the rollers 7 and the sheet 1. Thereby, the sticking of the plating metal on the roller 7 surfaces is made difficult, and the stuck metal is washed off easily, thus the evolution of heat between the rollers 7 and the sheet 1 is suppressed.
