Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable selective anodic oxidation treatment of both surfaces or one surface of strip like metal plate by providing a guide member so as to enable to pass said metal plate through a middle space and an outside of a pair of electrodes in an electrolyte.
CONSTITUTION: In subjecting both surfaces of a strip like aluminum plate 1 to anodic oxidation treatment, said strip like aluminum plate 1 is transferred in the order of rolls 41, 42, 43, 44 under a suspended condition and run through an electrolytic tank 6 through a current supply tank. In the electrolytic tank, because cathode plates 9, 9' are arranged to each sides of both surfaces of the strip like aluminum plate 1, an anodic oxidation film is formed on the both surfaces of said strip like aluminum plate 1. On the other hand, in subjecting only one surface thereof to anodic oxidation, said strip like aluminum plate 1 is transferred in the order of rolls 41, 42, 45, 46, 47, 44 under a suspended condition. Thereby, a condition wherein cathode plates 9, 9 are provided only to one surface side is established and the one surface side of the strip like aluminum plate 1 is preferentially subjected to anodic oxidation.
