Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve sintering density by a method wherein particular dose sulfur or sulfuric compound powder is mixed as S with alloy powder and molded to sinter in a permanent magnet sintered by alloy of Fe-Cr-Co having specific ratio of composition. CONSTITUTION:A permanent magnet is obtained by mixing 0.01-1.0% of sulfuric simple substance or sulfuric compound as S with the alloy powder which contains 15-40% Cr and 5-30% of Co including Fe and impurities in the remaining part thereof. Addition of such as S powder can provide high sintering density with improvement of machineability and excellent magnetic characteristic. Further addition of 0.05-0.3% of Si to said composition can facilitate the solution heat treatment. in addition to said composition or in place of Si in said composition, 0.03-0.5% of boron or boric compound is mixed as B for further improvement of sintering density with prevention for formability deterioration by mixing S powder.
