PURPOSE:To achieve a magnetic field distribution with a sharp beam and to enable recording efficiently, by providing a winding on the outer surface of magnetic core drive provided left and right opposingly, inserting a magnetic substance thin film in an air gap between the front tips of each core, and bridging and joining the front tips of each core. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head 20 is inserted in a minute air gap 23 formed between the front tips of magnetic cores 21, 22 which are left and right pair with high magnetic permeability so that a front end face of a thin piece 24 having higher magnetic permeability than that of the cores 21, 22 is projected on a virtual extension plane of the cores 21, 22 by a value of 5-50mum conventionally. A reinforcement member 25 is added to avoid a step between the front end face 24a of the thin piece 24 and the virtual extension surface, allowing to bridge and join the front tips of the cores 21, 22 and to fix the thin piece 24. Energizing coils 27, 28 are wound around the cores 21, 22 and each opposing tip is energized to the same polarity. Since the thin piece 24 is magnetized for a magnetic substance layer 5 with the magnetic field distribution of very sharp beam from the front end face 24a, efficient recording can be made.
