この発明は垂直磁化記録方式における垂直磁化記録ヘッ
ドに関する。DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a perpendicular magnetization recording head in a perpendicular magnetization recording method.
垂直磁化記録方式は、面に垂直な磁化容易軸をもつ記録
媒体に、面に垂直な磁化を行う記録方式であって、高密
度記録に適するということで近年その研究開発が盛んに
行われている。そしてすでにこのような記録を達成する
垂直磁化記録ヘッドとして、第1図(a) 、 [b)
のような構造のものが提案されている。なお図中11は
記録媒体、12は主磁極、13は補助磁極である。この
ような垂直磁化記録方式においては、より高密度な記録
を実現するために磁気ヘッドから発生する磁界の垂直成
分が、できるだけ強いことが要求される。すなわち磁極
の先端に磁束がすべて集中し、側面への磁束の漏れがで

膜の端部を記録媒体の表面に接触もしくは、微小距離隔
てて設け、この高透磁率磁性体膜のコイルに信号電流を
印加することにより、記録媒体の面に垂直な磁化を行わ
せる垂直磁化記録ヘッドにおいて、前記高透磁率磁性体
膜の記録媒体に近い部分の側面に非磁性導電性部材を当
