Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to perform a reliable and easy operation of a backhoe to a given position, by a method wherein, in the controller for the backhoe having a bending type boom, a slewing, bending, and elevation of the boom are detected. CONSTITUTION:Detectors 14-16, detecting a slewing angle theta of a boom 3, and a bending angle alpha and an elevation angle delta of a bending boom 7, are mounted in a controller. To position the bending boom 7 is parallel to a ditch 9, or swing it to a position of an angle beta in order to perform an excavating work, the angle delta of the detector 16 is first compared and computed by a horizontal setter 21, and the output energizes a hydraulic cylinder 6 through an electromagnetic valve 23 to hold a bending shaft 8 in a vertical manner. With this, beta=alpha-theta is then computed (17) from the angles of the detectors 14 and 15, and is further compared and computed by a position setter 18. The output energizes a hydraulic cylinder 25 through an electromagnetic valve 20 to position the bending boom 7 at a given angle beta.
