Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize the operation of idling by intermitting the feedback control of the air-fuel ratio of air-fuel mixture for the operation of idling as supplying secondary air, and starting the feedback control of air-fuel ratio for the state of loaded operation. CONSTITUTION:When an engine is in idling operation, the state of operation is detected by a detecting means 42, and an electromagnetic interception valve 40 is opened. Consequently, secondary air is supplied into an exhaust manifold 4 from a port 38, and the excess air ratio of exhaust gas is risen over 1. An O2- sensor 32 detects the existence of oxygen in the exhaust gas continuously, and the supply of additional air is stopped by the non-operation command of a control device 36. Meanwhile, when a throttle valve 10 is opened from a regular idling position or an idling-up position even by a little, the valve 40 is opened, and a device 35 is operated by the command of the device 36 to supply air into a suction pipe 3 additionally.
