Abstract

PURPOSE: To contrive compatibility of air-to-fuel ratio in the full operating range by providing an additional air feeder for compensating air-to-fuel ratio which is controlled in the process of feed-back by a variable Venturi carburetor.
CONSTITUTION: A variable Venturi part 6 is formed between a suction piston 8 which is driven by air inlet negative pressure and a boss 7, and a throttle valve 23 is installed on its downstream side. An additional air feed port 24 communicating with an additional air duct 25 opens on the direct upstream side in order to feed controlling air. A proportional solenoid device 26 is installed at the tip of the duct 25, the device 26 is driven by a computer 33 to receive signals of an O2 sensor which is installed on an exhaust manifold 4, so that additional air can be controlled in the process of feed-back.
