Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a good 2-color copy image stably without causing ground stain, etc., by providing a photoconductive layer formed by vapor-depositing an Se-Te-As alloy containing As, and a photoconductive layer consisting mainly of a specified eutectic complex and triphenylmethane. CONSTITUTION:A first photoconductive layer 12 formed on a conductive substrate 11 is an about 20-50mum thick amorphous vapor-deposited layer consisting of an Se-Te-As alloy containing 1-6wt% As. A suitable amount of Te is 4-12wt%. The second photoconductive layer 14 formed on the layer 12 is a single layer consisting of a 0.1-4wt% pyrilium type dye, 50-90wt% polycarbonate resin, and 10- 50wt% triphenylmethane, or the layer 14 is a laminated layer consisting of a charge generating layer consisting preferably of 0.1-10wt% pyrylium dye, 50-90wt% polycarbonate resin, and 0-50wt% triphenylmethane, and a charge transfer layer.
