Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor of less dark attenuation and light fatigue and high sensitivity in a composite type photoreceptor formed by separating a generating function of electric charge and a transport function and containing a specific cyanine type dye base in the electric charge generating layer. CONSTITUTION:The cyanine type dye base expressed by the formulaI(e.g., formula II) is used. More specifically, an electric charge generating layer of about 0.1-10mu thicknesses contg. an electric charge generating org. pigment (e.g.; ''Fastgen Blue-FCB '' produced by Dainippon Ink And Chemicals, Incorporated) and the above-mentioned cyanine type dye base and an electric charge transport layer of about 5-50mu thickness contg. an electric charge transport material (e.g.; poly-N-vinyl carbozole) is laminated on a conductive layer (metallic plate, plastic film subjected to a conducting treatment, etc.), whereby the photoreceptor is produced.
