Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a short-circuit current which does not pass through a load by providing a power amplifier supplying a positive and negative bipolar current to a load from a unit power source with protective circuits turning off the other transistor when one transistor is turned on. CONSTITUTION:When a positive and negative bipolar current is supplied to a load M by operating four transistors Q1-Q4 by using a unit power source, a protective circuit consisting of a diode D2, a transistor Q6, and a resistor R2 is put in between the transistors, Q1 and Q2 and a protective circuit with the same composition is also provided between the transistors, Q3 and Q4 and a load M is connected across both the protective circuits. Therefore, reverse bias is applied to the transistor Q6 in the protective circuit when the transistor Q1 is on condition to flow no current to the transistor Q2. In the same way, no current is flowed into the Q4 when the Q3 is on condition and the generation of a short- circuit current can positively be prevented by simultaneously turning on the transistors.
