Abstract

PURPOSE: To optimize the efficiency of a plant, and to operate the condensing turbine safely by optimally controlling the degree of vacuum of a condenser within a proper limit range corresponding to the operating condition of the plant and giving an alarm when the degree of vacuum exceeds the limit range.
CONSTITUTION: When the condition of the steam of a turbine inlet changes, a limit is given to the wetness of exhaust because the condition of exhaust also changes and the wetness of exhaust and the degree of vacuum of the condenser alter. Consequently, the degree of vacuum of the condenser is limited properly in response to the condition of the turbine inlet. A condition setting section 10 combines each limit value inputted, and a vacuum degree controlling allowable range, an alarming range and a turbine removing range are determined. A monitoring section 20 compares the output signals 11 of the condition setting section 10 and actual condenser vacuum degree signals 3, and outputs alarming signals 21 or turbine removing signals 22 when the signals 3 exceed limit value given by the signals 11. The degree of vacuum of the condenser, where the efficiency of the turbine is maximized, is calculated by means of an arithmetical section 30.
