Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to minutely control the temperature of cold water at the outlet of a cold water tower by a method wherein a temperature controlling valve, which is operated based on the temperature of cold water at the outlet of the cold water tower, is provided in a parallel system, through one of which hot water is supplied to a tank, in the device for controlling the temperature of cold water at the outlet of the cold water tower.
CONSTITUTION: When the temperature of cold water at the outlet of the cold water tower is higher or lower than the set value for temperature control, the deviation between the signal of a detector 6 and the signal of a setter 16 is generated and the deviation signal is proportionally integrated by a proportional integrator 17 and converted by a converter 18 to close or open the temperature controlling valve 15. The continuous change of the degree of opening of said controlling valve 15 changes continuously the mixture ratio of the amount of cold water cooled while falling down after being sprinkled from a sprinkling pipe 4 and the amount of hot water supplied from a hot water by pass piping 14, so as to enable to minutely control the temperature of cold water at the outlet of the cold water tower as nearly as possible to the desired set value.
