Abstract
PURPOSE: To collect mist susceptible to cause clogging efficiently by a method wherein collected mist is dropped in a lower tank and a mist particle diameter distribution at an inlet is always measured to control a trap corresponding to a measured value.
CONSTITUTION: Collected mist is dropped in a lower tank 9 in a liquid condition and a mist particle diameter distribution of a mist trap inlet 4 is measured in online to continuously control the operation of a mist trap by using this particle diameter distribution. That is, at an inlet 4 of a mist trap 5 is attached a mist particle diameter distribution controlling apparatus 10 having a function adjusting a size and number of mist preliminarily to a constant value and, by measuring a mist particle diameter distribution of a trap inlet 4 by a particle diameter distribution measuring apparatus comprising a detector 11 such as a hot-wire anemometer or the like and a pulse-amplitude analyser 12, a gas temperature of a gas flow-amount of a trap inlet 4 is controlled.
