Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of magnetic energy and thermal energy in information recording, by arranging a main magnetic pole and an auxiliary magnetic pole on one side of a vertical magnetic recording medium so that a closed magnetic path is formed through the vertical magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary magnetic pole 13 consists of a center part 13A provided around a main magnetic pole 11 and a yoke part 13B with large area on a surface opposed to a vertical magnetic recording medium A, and the center part 13A is wound with a coil 14 for information recording. Therefore, the main magnetic pole 11 and auxiliary magnetic pole 13 form a closed magnetic path through the vertical magnetic recording medium A, so the efficiency of magnetic energy in information recording is improved. A thermal conductor 15, such as an optical fiber, where a heat ray is transmitted is buried at the either side of the yoke part 13B of the auxiliary magnetic pole 13, and the heat ray is irradiated with from the side of the vertical magnetic recording medium A, so the efficiency of thermal energy in information recording and reproduction is improved.
