Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to prevent over-controlling in a system for controlling the engine speed at the time of idling operation by way of closed loop control, by making the upper limit value of a controlled variable on the opposite sides of a blind zone of an aimed engine speed lower at the time of controlling the engine speed to the aimed vaue by increasing the same than that at the time of controlling the engine speed to the aimed value by lowering the same.
CONSTITUTION: Since a blind zone K is formed in a range involving an aimed engine speed, automatic speed control is not carried out in the above range, so that inadvertent operation is not caused. Further, a first and a second sampling period setting circuits 56, 57 have different gradients of their input-output characteristics and are designed to increase the controlled variable according to the deviation. Further, since upper limit values of a controlled variable raised according to the deviation are set for a first and a second limiter circuits 58, 59, an extraordinarily great controlled variable is avoided. The upper limit value for the first limiter circuit 58 used for engine speed decreasing control is selected to be higher than that of the second limiter circuit 59. Thus, it is enable to prevent over-controlling and to control the engine speed in a stable manner.
