CONSTITUTION:In the transmission side, a circuit 2 which delays an original transmission data string by a time corresponding to a preliminarily set number of clocks, a circuit 3 which detects the no-signal state in the original transmission data train, and an oscillating circuit 4 which outputs a no-signal state indicating signal having a predetermined pulse width on a basis of the no-signal detection output are provided, and the no-signal state indicating signal is superposed onto the delayed original transmission data string to generate and transmit a transmission data train. In the receiving side, a pulse width discriminating circuit 8 which detects the no-signal state indicating signal in the receiving data train and a circuit 9 which delays the receiving data train by a time corresponding to a preliminarily set number of clocks are provided, and the circuit 9 is reset on a basis of the result of the pulse width discrimination to reproduce the original transmission data train.
