Abstract

PURPOSE:To make effective antiglare mechanism by continuously varying decreasing ratio of quantity of reflected ray, by installing a shutter using electrooptic effect of liquid crystal, and approaching or contacting with the effective surface of reflection of the mirror having reflectivity against visible light source. CONSTITUTION:A metallic sputtered diaphragms 6 made of Ag and Al, etc. which serve both as a reflecting diaphragm and an electrde are attached to a flat substrate 7 and a passivated diaphragm 5 made of SiO2 it placed on is. A transparent electrode 2 is additionally attached to a transparent glass plate 1, and an electrode 6 and the transparent electrode 2 are connected to an external terminal 8. Two plates of the substrate 7 and the glass plate 1 are treated by a vertical orientation treating agent and a constant gap is given by a spacer 4.
