Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a gas absorbing apparatus capable of responding to the fluctuation of pressure in an adsorbing vessel and to the change of supply liquid quantity, and capable of coping with an electric service interruption or suspension of water supply, by providing an exhaust pipe with its lower opening end under the water level of an exhausting tank, to the side wall of said adsorbing vessel.
CONSTITUTION: In conformty to the number of sampling points, ≥1 absorbing vessels 1 are provided, to which water supply pipes 2 and exhaust pipes 3 are connected respectively. The lower ends of pipes 3 open under the water level and near the bottom end of an exhausting tank 5. Sampling gas is introduced into a water in the vessel 1 from an introducing pipe 9 to be bubbled by a suction force of a pump 6, so that gaseous NH3 contained in said gas is removed by absorption ; then, the concentration of combustible gas contained in the resulting gas is examined at a sensing chamber 8 through a suction pipe 7. Even the change of pressure of a gaseous phase part 10 in the vessel 1 occurs by the fluctuations of an original sampling gas pressure or by the pump stop resulting from an interruption of electricity, the water level of vessel 1 is kept constant by a responding change of an exhausting water level 11 and an air intrusion from the opening at the lower end of pipe 3 is prevented. The fluctuation of the quantity of supply water is automatically controlled by the responding fluctuation of exhausting water quantity from the pipe 3.
