Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive material in a binder dispersion type suitable for enlarging its area, by using a crystal of a bismuth sillenite type represented by the general formula Bi12RO20, and firing a mixture of this fine powder and a low- melting point inorganic glass binder. CONSTITUTION:A fine powder of 1-150mum particle diameter of a bismuth sillenite type crystal represented by the formula Bi12RO20, R being Si, Ge, or Ti, is mixed with inorganic glass particles of low melting point, and heated or fired at a temperature not below the softening point of said glass and not above the melting point of said powder, resulting in producing a photoconductive material having photoconductive characteristics sensitive to X rays. As the low-melting inorganic glass a solder glass is typical and it has usually 200-700 deg.C melting point, for example, lead borate glass (PbO-B2O3) is usable.
