Abstract

PURPOSE: To uniform and maintain at a constant level a sludge turbidity which is apt to change in accordance with a rapid increase or decrease of a filthy water flow amount, by increasing or decreasing a flow amount of a returned sludge corresponding to a deviation between a forecast value and a predetermined value of a sludge turbidity at the point just after a sludge reservation zone.
CONSTITUTION: A forecast value of mixed liquor suspended solid (MLSS) in a zone B is calculated on the basis of measured values by a sludge turbidity meter 30 and other flow meters. A sludge turbidity in the zone B is forecast by a controller 31, and compared with an objective value of a sludge turbidity in the zone B from a device 24. In case where the forecast value is higher than the objective value, a PID adjuster of the controller 31 is operated so as to close a control valve 35 for the returning sludge. In case where the forecast value is lower than the objective value, the PID adjuster is operated so as to open the control valve 35. In case where a sludge flow amount is between a lower reference value and an upper reference value, a returning sludge flow amount is kept at a constant level on the basis of a preset value of the device 24.
