Abstract

PURPOSE:To fix an electrode vertically and exactly by a method wherein an electrode supporting shaft of an electrode supporting device in a conduction processing device is supported in an oscillating type manner to a processing head and a brake pad is urged to a spherical supporting shaft head part so as to fix a space between heads. CONSTITUTION:A head part of an electrode supporting shaft 4 is supported in an oscillating manner by means of bearings 6, 5 of a processing head 1. Brakes 7, 8, 9 consist of friction material pads 71, 81, 91, pressure applying springs 72, 82, 92 and magnetic coils 73, 83, 93 respectively. Brakes are operated by actuating a spring pressure and can stop the operation of a brake by attracting the pad by means of the excitation of the coil. This brake urges the brake pad against the head part of the supporting shaft 4 to fix the space between heads.
