Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to detect the defect of all positions, by detecting leakage magnetic flux caused by a crack which exists in the inner part of the body to be inspected by a difference signal obtained from a pair of magnetism detection element which is provided in the E-shaped core of an electromagnet.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of the detection elements 9A, 9B are provided in the position to be the density of magnetic flux of vertical direction of the surface of the material to be inspected 2 in the E-shaped core 1 of the electromagnet 10 minimum. Then, the differential amplifier 10 amplifying the difference signal of detection signal which is obtained from the elements 9A, 9B, is provided and moreover, the switching means 11 switching the output signal of the amplifier 10 and that of the amplifier 7 amplifying the detection signal of transmission-reception coil, is provided in front of the display means 8. Thus, the outputs of the elements 9A, 9B are inputted in the amplifier 10 and the existence of crack is judged by confirming the difference signal.
