Abstract
766,353. Electric tests. KRONPRINZ AKT.-GES. April 15, 1954 [April 15, 1953], No. 11204/54. Class 37. Apparatus for testing ferromagnetic tubing a for flaws &c. by means of an A.C. magnetizing winding b and a pick-up coil C is characterized in that the test is made in the presence of a strong local magnetic field produced by an electromagnet d energized with A.C. or D.C., whereby the permeability is so reduced that the pick-up signal in coil c is mainly due to eddy currents and therefore dependent on conductivity.
