Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the long term test run of a pump and to enable the confirmation of the reliability, by providing a valve for controlling the conduction of a bypass tube.
CONSTITUTION: When performing the test operation of a pump facility, delivery valves 71W7n are closed. The first to (n-1)th control valves 61W6n-1 are opened by a required amount while n-th control valve 6n is closed. Under this condition the first to (n-1)th pumps 31W3n-1 are operated while the n-th pump 3n is stopped. Consequently when the first to (n-1)th pumps 31W3n-1 are operating normally, the delivery water from the pump 3i in i-th water path 1i will flow through the i-th bypass tube 5i into the adjacent (i+1)th water path 1i+1. Since the water in each water path 11W1n will circulate through a water source 2 as shown on the drawing, the long term test operation of the pumps 31W3n-1 can be performed even when the amount of water in the water source 2 is relatively small as well as it is abundant thereby the reliability can be confirmed.
