Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the electrolytic treatment efficient by supplying a suspension of a manganese oxide to an electrolyte solution after said suspension is preliminarily subjected to ultrasonic treatment to attain to disperse said manganese oxide uniformly. CONSTITUTION:As the manganese oxide, for example, MnO2, Mn2O3 or Mn3O4 are used. As the ultrasonic oscillator, a conventional one is used and the treatment of said manganese oxide is carried out for about one min. and 1-3 treatments for allowing to stand a little are applied. Moreover, the ultrasonic treatment may be directly applied in a storage tank of the manganese oxide slurry and, moreover, said slurry may be treated on the way while supplied to the electrolytic tank. Thereby, the manganese oxide is uniformly dispersed and the bath voltage is suppressed to a lower level to be prevented from being raised and to attain to make the electrolytic treatment efficient. Moreover, the warpage or the notch formation of the electrolyzed manganese dioxide can be prevented.
