Abstract
PURPOSE:To obviate any reduction of the utilization rate of the negative mixture, by restricting the grain size of an amalgamated zinc which is used for the negative mixture down to a certain small value. CONSTITUTION:The grain size of an amalgamated zinc 6b which is packed into a negative-electrode can 5, is restricted to a value of mesh 150#-350#. As a result, the amalgamated zinc 6b can be homogeneously and excellently packed into the nagative-electrode can, thereby the reaction being thoroughly carried out. Consequently, a defective conductivity and the like of a thin battery having a total thickness of below 1.5mm., which are due to scattered grains of the amalgamated zinc, is prevented.
